La paridad entre estos dos equipos es una constante, pero Somisa parece tener siempre algo más para entregar. Y esta vez fue su corazón. Salió a jugar como si el estadio fuera neutral, y olvidándose que afuera del 40×20 la “marea roja” no paraba de alentar y hacer sentir la localía. A los jugadores “somiseros” no les importó y pusieron, apoyados en una tremenda actuación de Fausto Gabini en el arco, un parcial de 6-1 en el comienzo del juego.
Luego, como era de esperar, el partido se equilibró y Belgrano se fue encontrando con el gol. Una vez más esto ocurrió a partir del ingreso de Juan Manuel Viale, que volvió a ver los primeros minutos desde el banco pero con su entrada fue clave. Después de un gran arranque Somisa se quedó, pero mantuvo la diferencia y se fue al descanso ganando por dos goles, lo que determinaba hasta ese momento que la definición se iba a los penales.
La paridad siguió siendo una constante en la segunda etapa, hasta que Somisa logró sacar una diferencia de cuatro goles. Con eso, le alcanzaba para ser campeón y le ponía la presión de ir por el resultado a su rival.
Restando 5 minutos Belgrano con varias ofensivas desperdiciadas no lograba poner las cosas en tablas, hasta que con un penal quedó a uno y luego pudo empatar la serie en el global. La siguiente ofensiva fue para Somisa y la malogró. Faltando 20 segundos para el final Belgrano tuvo un ataque en su poder, lo desperdició y salió la contra rápida. La pelota quedó en manos de Juan Cali Costa, el tablero marcó un segundo por jugar y el juvenil de Somisa tomó el lanzamiento a pie firme, ante la marca de tres jugadores de Belgrano. La redonda voló a tal velocidad, que cuando el cronómetro quedó en cero el balón ya había inflado la red y todo Somisa festejaba el título dentro del 40×20.
Festejo “somisero” y tercer campeonato de manera consecutiva que se lleva el equipo de Christian Finelli. Lo logró apoyado en los altos rendimientos de Rafart y Nassta, con todos dejando la vida, y con la revolucionaria derecha de Cali Costa, que lógicamente fue elegido como el jugador más valioso de la final.
Punto final para el primer semestre del año en la primera división de la Asociación de Balonmano del Norte de la provincia de Buenos Aires. El handball local y regional continúa creciendo, lo que queda demostrado en el público que asiste a las jornadas finales, y en el alto nivel de juego de quienes llegan a instancias finales.
