Se realizó el sorteo de zonas y se definió de que forma se disputará el Provincial de Clubes 2016/7.
Con la participación de 24 clubes, el Torneo Provincial de la Federación de Provincia de Buenos Aires quedó definido, tanto en la conformación de las zonas como en la forma de disputa. Además, se dieron a conocer las fechas claves de inicio de competencia, receso y para los cambios de jugadores, etc.
Fecha de inicio: 23 de septiembre de 2016.
Fecha de cierre de año: 17 de diciembre de 2016.
Fecha de reinicio de la competencia: 28 de enero de 2017.
Se conformaron tres zonas de ocho equipos cada una, con dos de la Zona Norte y una única de la Zona Sur.

A partir de ahí, se dará una primera fase con enfrentamientos ida y vuelta, siendo en total 14 partidos. De ella clasificarán 18 equipos, arrastrando el 50% de los puntos obtenidos y se formarán cinco grupos, tres de la norte y dos de la sur.
Esos grupos tendrán seis partidos más entre ellos, con la salvedad de que en la sur, al ser de tres equipos, fecha a fecha se disputará un interzonal entre los equipos que quedan libres para llegar a esa cifra de juegos.
Los dos mejores de cada zona (diez equipos) y los dos mejores terceros, pasarán a la tercera fase. Los primeros cuatro pasan directamente a cuartos de final. Del 5° al 12° disputarán una serie de reclasificación a partido único, con ventaja de localía para el mejor clasificado, para determinar los otros cuatro clubes que pasarán a cuartos de final. Esta serie de cuartos será al mejor de tres juegos, siendo los ganadores los acreedores del boleto al Final Four, cuyo formato se definirá en las próximas reuniones de consejo directivo.
